Lexus IS 250c - An Introduction
There are many attractive convertibles, but Lexus IS 250C convertible is more attractive and striking than the Toyota luxury division. We have found a complete new look in Lexus IS 250C. It was firstly launched in the 2008 Paris Motor Show. This car provides extensive features that buyers expect from a luxury convertible. It includes classical power tools like power folding hardtop, 6 speed automatic transmissions, and a powerful V6 gasoline engine.
It has a solid folding top that puts away in the trunk of the Lexus IS 250c. This folding is achieved in the minimum time of 20 seconds. After folding the top, you get a clean main body with invasive breaks in the structure.
Lexus IS 250c can accommodate four passengers. This design was introduced for the 2010 model. The attractive luxury convertible offers a smooth drive powered by 204-horsepower 2.5-litre V6 engine, which offers a choice for selecting manual and automatic gearbox with six seeds. The car features a dual-zone automatic climate control, Bluetooth and eight-way power front seats with the easy one touch access to rear seat. It ensures the safety with the additional turn-up rear rollover bars. It facilitates the comfort of the passengers through its front, and rear side curtain airbags, which are uncommon among the convertibles. The interior of the car is very special. It is beautified with crafts of top top-quality materials, and a pleasingly sporty design. In most of the cars, when the navigation system is operating, the audio, and climate readouts are vanished, but Lexus 250c possess an extra display for this purpose.
The luxury package of IS 250c includes automatic wipers, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, auto dimming exterior mirrors, upgraded leather upholstery, heated, and cooled front seats memory settings, and wood trim. Other extras of Lexus include rear-parking sensors, and 18-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, and a variety of F-Sport performance upgrade items. The bi-xenons and the heated/cooled seats are also provided at stand-alone options.
The car has an automatic ventilation system that intelligently changes the volume, and distribution of the air. These changes are judged on basis of opened or closed top. Similarly, the audio system involuntarily alters the equaliser settings on the base of any additional wind noise.
The Lexus IS 250C uses the verified front double wishbone, and multi-link rear suspension format from the IS saloon range to provide agile performance. Significant chassis revisions support greater ride comfort, which is extremely suitable for a convertible, and guarantee steady dynamic performance in both coupe, and convertible appearances. The company has carried out extensive test to check the reliability of temperature, vibration, and the chassis maintain NVH features almost similar to those of the IS saloon.
The car has been engineered with minimum wind turbulence to join the lowest possible drag coefficient disturbing the cabin when the roof is down. Moreover, it also includes features like ultra-smooth cabin profile, a sharply raked windscreen, and aerodynamically proficient ducktail rear styling that provides an air kick effect, detailed rear lamp cluster design, and a range of underbody covers.
