Travelling From Festival To Festival In Style
For many of us the summer months not only bring good weather, they also mean that we lighten up and enjoy ourselves. One popular pastime for many during the summer months is the variety of music concerts that are held throughout the UK.
Teenagers and adults alike spend months running up to these events saving their hard-earned cash in order to spend a weekend living it up in a tent. The reward - seeing their favourite music artists perform right in front of them among a crowd as ecstatic as they are. From Glastonbury to the Isle of Wight Festival, each weekend has an array of artists to suit everyone’s tastes. If you’re a festival virgin and want to know more about these famous festivals, read on……
Glastonbury - the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world, Glastonbury has become the leader in music festivals, with many of the later gigs following it it’s footsteps. The major difference is that Glastonbury has the best bits of all festivals bundled together in one package.
Isle of Wight Festival - With top names from the rock and indie scene, the IOW festival provides a relaxed festival atmosphere with music veterans and a number of rising stars taking to the stages to provide you with a weekend you’ll never forget.
Creamfields - If it’s dance music you’re after, Creamfields is right up your street. It’s all about rave and with 40,000 “ravers” all in one place, you know it’s going to be one big party. Some of the world’s best known DJs headline at this Cheshire large scale outdoor event and with a newly introduced camping, it’s a weekend affair.
Isle of Wight Festival - some of the top names in rock and indie music are present at the Isle of Wight Festival, including a number of rising stars on the main stage or the smaller tented stage to provide a relaxed festival atmosphere.
Van Insurance
Travelling to these festivals in style is a must, so why not do it all in a van? In true rock and roll style, travel from festival to festival sampling the choice of music available as well as meeting new and friendly people.
If you are going to be travelling by van then be sure to get suitable van insurance. Don’t be tempted to sit in the back whilst travelling; it is illegal and should be used only to stash your gear. The best van insurance deals can be found online, so save both time and money and have more cash to spend at your weekend away.
Hannah Warder, a writer for MediaVest (Manchester) discusses a number of topics including van insurance.
